Boronia Park Reserve

Overview
Located in Sydney’s Lower North Shore, Boronia Park Reserve in Hunters Hill is the largest open-space area in the municipality, spanning approximately 24 hectares. It offers a mix of bushland and active recreation zones, including multiple sports fields, a BMX track, and extensive walking trails.
The reserve includes a designated off-leash dog area: Oval 3. Dogs may be off leash at all times, except when the oval is booked for organised sports or other pre-arranged activities.
Boronia Park is known for its varied layout—lush woodland sections in the north, open sporting fields in the south—and supporting amenities such as a grandstand, walking paths, and a BMX track, as well as heritage features like Brickmakers Creek and Tipperary Falls.
Owners should note that the off-leash zone is unfenced and shared with field users. Responsible recall is essential, and dogs must be leashed during organised sporting events held on Oval 3.
Nearby, parts of the reserve are connected to natural features including bushland, the Lane Cove River foreshore, and scenic walking trails like the Great North Walk.
Boronia Park Reserve is best suited to dogs with reliable recall that enjoy a spacious, mixed-use setting blending active recreation and natural surroundings.
Boronia Park Reserve is managed by Hunter’s Hill Council.
