Halliday Park

Located in Sydney’s Inner West within the Canada Bay region, Halliday Park in Five Dock offers a scenic off‑leash dog area that’s available before 9 am and after 5 pm daily. This time‑restricted space lets dogs roam near the river while maintaining harmony with the park’s other uses. 

The off‑leash zone is set along the Parramatta River foreshore and does not include the playground or other park structures. The open grassy area is shared with families and wildlife, and remains unfenced—dogs must be closely supervised at all times.

Because the area is unfenced and located near the water, owners must rely on strong recall to keep dogs safe from the river edge and other park users. 

Halliday Park is situated on Wymston Parade at the waterside of Five Dock. It features open lawns, picnic seating and shaded areas across the reserve, though none specifically fenced around the off‑leash section. Parking and local access are convenient from nearby residential streets.

This park is best suited to confident and well-trained dogs that respond reliably off-lead—and for owners who appreciate early morning or evening play in a tranquil, riverside setting.
