Petersham Park

Overview
Located in Sydney’s Inner West, Petersham Park in Petersham includes designated off-leash dog exercise areas.
The park is a large, open green space with sporting fields, shaded trees, and a community feel that attracts both dog owners and families.
The off-leash areas include a permanent section on the southern side of the park, and an additional space available at set times. The fields provide plenty of room for running, and shaded seating makes it comfortable for owners.
Dogs must remain on-leash outside the designated off-leash zones and during organised sporting use. Because the grounds are unfenced and bordered by roads, reliable recall is important. The grass is well maintained but can become muddy after wet weather.
Petersham Park sits next to Petersham Pool and is a short walk from local cafés and shops on Norton Street, making it convenient for combined outings.
Petersham Park is best suited to energetic, social dogs that enjoy large open fields and busy community settings.
Petersham Park is managed by the Inner West Council.
