Waterfront Park Off Leash Area

Waterfront Park Off Leash Area

Things to Do

Overview

Located in Sydney’s Inner City, Waterfront Park in Pyrmont provides a large off-leash space with sweeping views across Johnstons Bay.

The park is unfenced and has a relaxed, open atmosphere, making it a favourite for local residents and their dogs. Its harbourside setting gives it a scenic quality that sets it apart from smaller neighbourhood parks.

The off-leash area is generous, with wide grassy lawns, shaded seating, and pathways connecting to the foreshore. The open layout gives dogs plenty of space to run and socialise, while owners enjoy views of the water and city skyline.

Because the area is unfenced and close to the harbour and nearby streets, strong recall is important. The grass is generally well maintained but can become muddy after rain. There are no dedicated dog facilities, so owners should bring their own water.

The park links directly to the Pyrmont foreshore walk, and Darling Harbour cafés and restaurants are only a short stroll away. Its location makes it one of the most popular waterside parks in the Inner City.

Waterfront Park is best suited to energetic and social dogs that enjoy large open lawns and busy, scenic environments.

Waterfront Park is managed by the City of Sydney Council.
